We’re so glad you’re here!

Welcome to Art Club, a process art studio, where children and families play, explore, and create together! We provide an after-school program, holiday camps, maker space, birthday parties, toddler playgroup, and family art events.

Our mission is to inspire young artists through process-art activities. We have created a safe and supportive environment for children to slow down and enjoy the process of making and exploring, and a space to play.

We are passionate about introducing children to new artists and approaches, and helping them master new skills; from safely using a hammer, sewing, stop-motion animation, to screen-printing and using a printing press.

At Art Club, our dedicated staff nurture your child's development and empower them to enjoy their time at the studio with confidence. You will never find our teachers adjusting or drawing on a student's work. We encourage students to explore their own style - not to create identical copies.

We provide high-quality art supplies and materials, and we are passionate about delivering a trusted experience for families. Our classes are predominantly taught in English with Spanish translation, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.

Joanna started 'Art in English' classes on Saturday mornings in April 2018, alongside a full-time teaching position. Transforming into what we now call Art Club, the buzz around these classes grew rapidly, with families asking for more sessions, parties, and family events.

The first Art Club studio opened it’s doors just three months before the onset of the pandemic, prompting a swift transition to online platforms. Despite the challenges, Art Club adapted smoothly, extending its reach to families citywide by assembling and dispatching sensory tables and kits directly to households.

Throughout the pandemic, Art Club maintained a personal connection with families, delivering engaging sessions directly to their living rooms via online platforms. Meanwhile, Joanna took on the task of developing and implementing a virtual art curriculum for a local school. Expanding her reach, she hosted pop-up courses in various gardens across Mexico City, with a special focus on Patio Jacaranda in Roma Norte.

The Roma Norte Art Club studio opened in October 2022, our first brick and mortar, served as a hub for creative play and process art.

Join us as we continue to build a vibrant community of learners and creators at our new art school in Escandón, opening April 2024.
